Provide Chance To Try Out Urban Bikes Tailored To New Lifestyle
Latest Bicycle Styles, Cultures Revealed!
Velo TOKYO is an event launched to high acclaim last year by Cycle Press, the show sponsor. Rather than serious bicycle aficionados, Velo TOKYO targets consumers whose priority is creating their ideal lifestyle and provides them with oppor tunities to see and try out the latest bicycles within a “lifestyle space”. This year’s show was held on September 19 and 20 in the Galleria, an indoor covered passageway, at the Futako-tamagawa Rise Shopping Center in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. Presented as Velo TOKYO 2015 Design & Ride, the theme of this year’s event was “Life Fit Design”.
30 Bikes Available for Viewing and Test Rides, Including Cross Bikes and E-Bikes
Including Cross Bikes and E-Bikes A large part of the attractiveness of Velo TOKYO is its emphasis on open-design displays and test rides, giving visitors a chance to enjoy the design features and riding comfort of bikes within a “lifestyle space”, a new concept in bicycle-related events. The Futako-tamagawa area surrounding the Futako-tamagawa Rise Shopping Center, where the show was held, is a popular spot along the Tokyu railway line, and is home to many celebrities and other personalities, making it a prime starting point from which information emerges. The theme of this year’s Velo TOKYO was “Life Fit Design”, and, like last year, the show encompassed a total of 30 bikes, three at each of ten circular booths set up in the Galleria. Celebrities, families, women and others who primarily value lifestyles focused on fashion, ecology and fitness and health could look at, handle and try out bicycles designed to fit into new lifestyles. The exhibition lineup included the latest models of cross bikes, which are intended to fit naturally into the user’s lifestyle, as well as comfort bikes, folding bikes, urban sports bikes, electric power-assist bikes and others. On both days, the show was open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., and large numbers of couples, families with children in tow and others came away happy after touching and trying out the latest models of stylish, highquality urban bicycles.
